Forthcoming Events

Lora underwent major surgery at the end of 2025 (a total knee replacement) but will be back to teaching and performing in February 2026. If you are interested in having individual lessons or joining the Advanced Piano Maestros masterclasses (see below), please get in touch.

  • Lora has extended her popular master-class style sessions for advanced piansts (Advanced Piano Maestros, APM) to 3 groups which meet either on alternate Mondays or alternate Tuesdays. The groups are based in All Saints Church, Orpington, using their beautiful Steinway Grand piano. If you're an adult or student pianist of concert level standard and would like to join one of our groups, please get in touch. See APM Classes for further details and a video.

  • The full recital that Lora gave with the tenorino Nicholas Martin in Gibralter in September 2025 has now been broadcast on TV and is available through the TV and Radio Broadcasts page.

  • Videos of Lora's solo recital in All Saints Church, Orpington on 7th September 2025 (part of the PianoPlus International Recital Series ) are now available through the Videos from Recent Recitals page.

  • The recording engineer Peter Nicholls has recently been transferring and preserving old digital audio tape recordings onto computer and has kindly provided recordings he made of the violinist Hanna Weinmeister and Lora performing live at the Wigmore Hall shortly after they won the international Parkhouse Award for chamber music back in the day. This includes sonatas by Schubert, Poulenc, Prokofiev and Beethoven (the Kreutzer sonata) as well as the ever-popular Méditation from Massenet's opera Thaïs. You can hear these recordings of Hanna and Lora on this web site.

  • Videos of Lora performing Mozart's D minor piano concerto with the Sinfonietta Vidin in two of the 2025 concerts she gave in Bulgaria are now available on this web site through the Live Concertos page.

Advanced Students

Lora is now offering intensive half day or full day blocks of private teaching for advanced students as well as the usual 2 hour lessons.

Previous Events

In September 2025, Lora accompanied singer Nicholas Martin in a recital of Spanish and Latin American songs (as well as some solo piano playing) in the beautiful Anglican cathedral in Gibraltar. The full recital was broadcast on TV and is available through the TV and Radio Broadcasts page.

In September 2025, Lora gave a solo recital as part of the PianoPlus International Recital Series in All Saints Church, Orpington. Videos of the recital are now available through the Videos from Recent Recitals page.

In July 2025, Lora organised the usual end of term piano recital for the Advanced Piano Maestros class, followed by a well earned dinner and drinks.

In April and May 2025, Lora was busy in Bulgaria where was engaged to adjudicate at the Viva Piano international competition in Sofia and to play Mozart's D minor piano concerto with the Sinfonietta Vidin orchestra in Sofia, Plovdiv and Vidin. She also gave a Number of TV and radio interviews and performances.

Plovdiv Museum Concert Hall
A break in rehearsal in the amazing archaelogical museum concert hall in Plovdiv (part of the Bishop's Basilica of Philippopolis complex) where Lora played. A modern glass floor sits approximately a metre above the recently excavated and preserved ancient mosaic floors, allowing the audience and museum visitors to sit and walk directly over the beautiful mosaics.

In October 2023, Lora gave a series of memorable concerts with the Quattro Piano+ Group and Vidin Philharmonic Orchestra in both Sofia and Vidin in Bulgaria. This was Lora's first time performing in Vidin - a stunningly beautiful part of Bulgaria.
